And it also made me think of real life crushes which made me think of middle school and high school. Perfect timing since I just remembered that I had some old school pictures here - I thought they were all in Houston!
This was prime time for crushes. I feel like the term kind of died off during college. You thought a guy was cute? You just waited until you were both a little tipsy and you made out with him. Not that I ever did this or anything. But in middle school and high school? You never had the courage to even look at your crush. You just talked and giggled about him with all of your friends. And you staked your claim - that was the most important part. BACK OFF, HE'S MINE. Hey little girls, he is never yours if you have never once talked to him and he doesn't even know you exist. And now that I've talked about this, I have to show you some photos so you understand why I didn't have the courage to even look at these crushes.
I actually had a boyfriend during this time period, but I'm not sure why he stuck around.
THAT BELT.
This is dark and sort of hard to see, but my hair is so slicked to my head that I don't think it ever left that position. And the butt part. BOYS LOVED THAT.
Again, same hair-do. Awesome jean capris. Even more amazing braces. FUN FACT - I ended up having a crush on the guy behind me who may or may not be picking his nose.
But blogger crushes are different. I like these girls and I actually talk to them! Most on a daily basis. And if any of you don't read any of these girls, you need to join in on my crushes and go read because you are missing out.
Helene: the perfect mix of hilarity and just down right honesty
Whitney: before I ever was a blogger I was just a reader, or lurker. My BFF emailed me one day and it said: YOU HAVE GOT TO READ THIS GIRL! And I have been ever since.
Sami: the crush grew after I found out she went to OSU. go pokes!
Maxine: she makes me wish I was a crossfitter and a news anchor. my swoop is jealous of hers.
Kayla: the most positive girl out there! always puts a smile on my face.
Alexa: Glenn Coco + Alexa = favorites for lyfe. Bowie out.
Staci: so maybe I wish every day that I lived in ATL so we could be in real life hang out together friends. then I wouldn't need to have J.Law as my BFF.
Ashley: another INSANELY positive sweetheart. And such an amazing blog to sponsor!
Erin: her blog is one of those that I read and think - why didn't I find you sooner?!
So there you have it! My blog crushes. And now I feel like the biggest creep ever. And I feel the need to say how much I love everyone that I follow! That's kinda the point, right?
