Did you hear that it's Friday?! And it's MARCH? WHAT?

I'm kidding - I really do enjoy seeing everyone one of you super excited about it being Friday and March. Because I am, too! I was really looking forward to this week, but after Wednesday I just wanted it to be over. We don't have any plans this weekend besides hopefully making a trip to the Farmer's Market tomorrow to stock up on some fresh foods! I've never been to one before, so I'm really looking forward to it. There's also a booth called Thibo-Doughs that sells fresh pretzel bread! And bagels! My carb-loving belly's dream come true. 

I just went on a mission to find my old xanga profile thanks to Staci. An hour later and from the help of my oldest friend Mallory, it was found. My username was soonerdashnole. Once upon a time I guess I considered going to OU? Makes sense as Mallory and I used to sing the fight song during sleepovers. I actually did get accepted without even applying (that's an INSANELY long story for another day, but also involves Mallory) but I started that profile in 2003, way before I even applied for college. 

Here's a little insight from my 2003 self: mk so i asked mike to ball and he said yes and b4 that trav wasnt talking to me at all and i didnt like him anymore and i still dont like him but he talked to me a lot last night and kinda flirted with me and even tho i dont like him ne more i still flirted back...hehehe...i am so bad about doing that! URG  i finally got the stupid virus off my computer and its so much faster now! YAY! 53 days till the first pitch in FSU baseball...and one moth and two days till ball and one month and twelve days till my birthday! homework time...i'll write later tonight...i hope

Dear 15-year-old Kaitlyn - who were you trying to kid? You still liked Travis until you were 18. And maybe got excited even during COLLEGE to see him when you were both home for holidays. And you were soooo bad about flirting with boys? What, all two who talked to you?

But I do have to commend myself for having this quote as my "about me:" "its like i have espn or something..." "my boobs can tell when its going to rain! well, actually they can tell when it is raining..." ^mean girls!!!

I really expected to find more gold than that. I know I had some "blogs" on an old myspace, but when you have multiple old myspace profiles, that is hard to find.

Do your happy dance - it's Friday! It's the second to last Friday of the year for me. I'm off to NYC next week for another Holiday Party for work, so a Friday today and a three day work week next week makes for an awesome time. Then I'm off until 2013! I need this break like coffee needs sugar. BAD.

I also disovered how to land back in fantasy land regarding our future house. I found this website where you put in the amount of rooms, bathrooms and garage bays you want as well as the style of home you want. Then it brings up plans for houses. They sell the full plans that you can then give to a contractor (either editable or uneditable) and badabing badaboom, you have yourself your dream house. That bottom right one? Yep, that's my dream house. Anyone want to go in on lottery tickets with me?

 

Tonight we are heading to a new local brewery with some friends. Free tours with complimentary beer! Can't beat that. Beer isn't my favorite so I'll probably let A drink my share. Unless they have a cider beer, yumms. Then we're going to try Acadian Village again for the Christmas lights! It's cold here today so it will really feel like Christmas this time.

friday's letters

this week went by SO fast! Not sure why, but can't really complain! Maybe it's because we don't have anything big planned this weekend - the things you cannot wait for just take SO long to get to! A's team has a home game this weekend (so does mine, but I'm not driving an hour to tailgate for a 2:30 game. CURSE YOU CBS!) so we'll be heading out in this fantastic weather to tailgate.

Dear family: I can't wait to be home and celebrate Thanksgiving with you! And watch FSU kick some gaytor booty. And stuff ourselves with too much mac and cheese. And drink too much wine. best kind of fun!

 

Dear bestest friend: BEYOND excited to fly up to Little Rock to see you! Last minute vacations are the best and spending time with you is even better. I'll be bringing some purple and gold for you to wear, you'll look better in that than whatever shade of red the silly piggies are. 

 

Dear Nashville: I am so glad you got picked up for a whole season! ABC has a record of cancelling my favorite shows halfway through (looking at you Pan Am and GSB!) and I was so worried you would join that club. And helllooooo football love interest of Juliette, nice to meet you choir boy! You can stay a while.

 

Dear trash can: you have GOT to stop smelling so much. every morning I wake up and take you out (maybe a third of the way full) because the apartment smells so bad. We don't throw food in you - why you gotta smell so much?!

 

Dear Bowden: please sleep this weekend as well as you did last night. Your mommy is on morning duty and I would like to sleep!

 

Dear pinterest: please stop! you're making me want a huge house so I can make all of these Christmas crafts/decorations. I have no room left and everything I make automatically goes into the holiday box. Just not fair!

 

Dear sewing machine: I know I haven't touched you since before the wedding, so please be nice to me this weekend. I needed a break, and I think you did too, but I'm back and ready to go!

 

Dear kate spade: stop being such a jerk and sending out 20% off codes. I don't need to spend any more money this week!!

 

Dear St. Landry Parish po-po: I realize that I was going 20 miles over the speed limit, but it's a country road in the middle of NOWHERE. Also, how did my sob story not work?! I was lost, late to a work event and not even from here. My TX license should have been a clue, but that's probably what got me the ticket in the end. Also - there was not a SINGLE speed limit sign on the road! NOT ONE! Apparently I'm just supposed to KNOW that state highways in Louisiana are 55 mph. Uhhh hello, not from here. TOTALLY going to court to fight this one.
