Today's post is inspired by one of the worst books ever.
Let me start off by saying that I read A LOT. As in around 100 books a year. I love the feeling of getting lost inside a good book and I hate when they end. I'm not a book snob, I'll generally read anything you give me.
I finally got a library card in Lafayette and I love that I can just go online and rent books and they magically appear on my Kindle. So easy! Thank goodness this one was rented - I would have asked for my money back if I paid anything for it.
It had been on my to-read list for a while, so when I saw it on the lending page I was so excited! A national bestseller and a cute cover, what's not to love? AND it's about weddings! Oh how I was wrong.
The reviewer on Amazon said that she couldn't put it down because she was so captivated by it. Well, I also couldn't put it down, but it was because I kept reading in hope that it would get better. So on I went and then I turned the last page and it was just...over. The book doesn't even end! The characters just stop talking to order a drink and boom, over.
I'll end with these reviews that describe it perfectly. Moral of the story - if you are looking for a good book, this is NOT one to pick.

Wickedly hilarious - OMG, no!! Wickedly depressing and morose is more like it. The girls (I hesitate to call them women) are in serious need of therapy! At first, I thought that the girl whose parents are hippies was the most screwed up, but after reading further, I've decided it's Lauren (who spends the day in the park obessively studying clouds and talking to herself) and Isabella who -- I can't even articulate what her problems are! I'm so glad I only checked this out of the e-book library and didn't pay for it. I can't bring myself to finish the book because the characters are so incredibly whiny and unpleasant. I hope that it ends with them all getting into intensive therapy!!
