Yesterday was an AMAZING mail day.
As you know from this post, my best friend got engaged recently. I am still over the moon excited about it...and yesterday it got even MORE exciting.
A opened it first and pretended to me me - aka he screamed 'oh my gah!' in a girlish voice.
Here's what I saw when I finally got to open it:
There may or may not have been some jumping up and down, crying and squealing going on...leaning more towards the may.
I'm a MOH! I was a maid of honor for my sister's wedding, but she had a Matron that was her age (seven years older) and she did all of the duties. I am SO excited to get back into wedding planning. I've missed it way too much.
Her younger sister is her Maid of Honor, so we will likely share the duties of planning the bachelorette party. Right now the plan is to do it in Dallas - it's the halfway point for the high school and the college girls. Any of you know of any other good ideas? We are thinking maybe the Gaylord Texan - perfect for laying out with some cocktails!
I am so incredibly blessed to have such an amazing, caring and loving best friend. I cannot wait to stand by her side on her specialist of days.

And totally unrelated to above - I need help!
We have a Mardi Gras ball on Saturday night and I need suggestions on how to style my dress. Let me know what you think!
I know, I know - the hat is SUCH a good look

I would either like to do big earrings and no necklace or big necklace and no earrings...and that's about the limit of my style knowledge. Calling all personal stylists wanna-be's!

I don't know if you are trying to match the jewelry to that dress (so cute!) but if you are, I would go with the third necklace, and tiny stud earrings! :)
ReplyDeletethat dress is gorgeous... you are rocking it!! I love all your picks for becklaces and earrings, too hard to choose! Or maybe instead of a becklace a bangle or chunky bracelet?
ReplyDeleteHey! I love your blog, so I nominated you for the Liebster Award! All you have to do is check out my blog for the post!! Have a great day!

Congrats to you and your friend :) How exciting!
ReplyDeleteI like the first necklace the best, I think something bold and colorful would be perfect for Mardi Gras!

wow that dress is amazing and i absolutely love the color!! i think with a high neckline maybe forgo a necklace all together and get a gorgeous pair of earrings. congrats to your best friend and that is so sweet how she asked you
ReplyDeleteYou are rocking the dress and baseball hat look! Seriously tho that dress is amazing! I agree with the comment above about skipping a necklace with the high neckline of the dress and just going for a pretty pair of dangling earrings! :)
ReplyDeleteWow!! I'm not one to ask for style advice, but the dress is beautiful!! You look great!
ReplyDeleteVery exciting, fun wedding times ahead!
