Something like that. This week has been a KILLER. I apologize to anyone who has emailed me for anything, because I have had zero time to pay attention to personal emails this week. I hope to get to those tonight or tomorrow! Including responding to all the amazing comments from last week's vlog. Which A now wants to do every week.
When I was looking for those pictures above on Facebook I found some pictures from my dumb days.
What are my dumb days? Pretty much all of high school and my freshman year of college. I apparently didn't know what makeup was. Or tweezers. Oh, I got the middle part, but I clearly did not understand that you have to pluck the whole thing.
Here's the picture that started my search today. I still can't believe that I share these things with you guys and the whole entire world.
This is so bad. This was one of my best friend's cotillion. As in debutante ball - a classy, super fancy event. And from the neck up, I look like I am ready for bed. Try and look past the terrible middle part and focus on the lack of makeup. This was a formal event, y'all! And I also needed to invest in a better pair of spanks, as you can see.
Welcome to 5th period physics of my senior year. We didn't have uniforms, but I had one of my own: t-shirt, jeans, Nike airs, hair either half up or all the way up in a messy bun. And, OF COURSE, no makeup whatsoever. I guess I was trying to class it up with the earrings?
This one makes me laugh so hard.I found those glasses in the lost & found in our dance room at school. So I did what everyone else did, I took them and wore them. Give me a break, I was still not over the fact that I didn't need glasses in 3rd grade. The lack of eyebrow shaping is terrible here - they look the same as his basically. I kept with the theme of no makeup, but at least my teeth look great. And I spy a bow peeking through.
I injured by back my senior year and couldn't dance at two of the competitions. I took the "injured" thing to heart, I guess. Also, letter jackets are the ugliest things in the entire world. Why did I want one so bad?
Time for college! My freshman year, Gavin DeGraw came for a free concert (Sorry Sami!) and so of course we had to go. And I had to wear the ugliest thing in my closet. Remember when Amanda Bynes had a fashion line? Or was I the only person to buy something and then put it over a white shirt? Just me? OK then. (And for some reason we took a picture with the women's basketball coach.)
My senior year I was a counselor's aide for 4th period. It was the best decision ever, but that's besides the point. As you can see, I kept with my uniform on this day. Also, remember when cropped jackets were all the rage? I had so many.
Senior year, again. The Friday before Prom we all wore our group shirts. Everyone went to prom in groups and went to dinner first in a big obnoxious party bus. My group's shirt? "Drop it like it's hot...one last time." I designed that one, I was so proud. This day I decided to wear my pearls with my uniform.
Last young-life of the year for the seniors. Nothing different here. Moving on.
How could I not see that I NEED BLUSH?! And mascara! And some color on my lips?! I remember meeting some Ol Ags at this game and thinking it was SO cool that college boys were talking to me. So naive.
That's enough of this trip down memory lane. Thankfully, I now know what makeup is and how to use it. Blush is my friend. And so are the tweezers.
This weekend is going to consist of a home tour - we are so excited to kick start our house hunting and owning our first home! Hope you guys have an awesome one :)

I have a love/hate relationship with going through old photos. I never wore make up either, but I took it one step further and frequently wore sweatpants and considered jeans "dressing up." Great song choice! Happy Friday!

ReplyDeleteLove the physics pic. I can think of a few high school moments of mine that resembled that!
Happy Friday

I think we've all had our dumb days :) I used to wear the strangest things known to man. Like a plaid short skirt with a t-shirt. YEA... random and dumb, right?! Pretty much.
